No Data value for some OIDs in NPM (MIB)

Hello Dears,

I have added an OID for strength with below value in universal device poller and assign it to relative Nodes:

OID value: 1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.2.1.13

when I SNMPwalk to my devices I see the full OID is as below and I realized that there are some digits more than what I define in UNDP (72.143.90.161.210.83.3), I understood that it is MAC address .

OID=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.2.1.15.72.143.90.161.210.83.3, Type=Integer, Value=-37

so I want to know that why in Solarwinds I have no data value for my OID in some devices, however it is ok with snmpwalk.

Hi Daneilla,

I don't know about these particular devices, but it appears you may be looking at two different OIDS 1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.2.1.13 TxStrength Ch0 and 1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.2.1.15 TxStrength Ch1. You should ensure the UnDP poller is set to Get Table as both those OIDS pull table data.

You can use the MIB browser from the Node details View in Orion to browse the MIB tables of individual devices to see if the OID is supported by the device and returns valid data. It is also possible to Browse the MIB database from the UnDP poller utility, but I prefer the MIB Browser as shown below.
