What is the OIPClient that is created within the DB during install/configuration???

Can someone advise me what the OIPClient is, what it does, and if we can secure it with a password?

Hi Alan,

It sound like the Orion Improvement Program which collects statistics data from your environment and uploads it to SolarWinds. More details at link below.

For licensed products, you can disable statistics uploads by navigating to the Orion Section from the Windows Start menu and select Orion Improvement Program Settings. From here you will see a checkbox to Send usage Stats or not.
