Allow users to edit nodes but not add or delete them.

Hello all,

I am looking for a way to separate out rights to allow a certain group of users to edit nodes but not add or delete them. Searching through past forums it appears that it still may not be a thing yet. Did they add this feature and I just missed it or....?

At this time, there is no specific 'modify' permission you can grant a user which does not include the ability to add/delete also. This sounds like an excellent feature request though.
