Hi,
I wish to change the IP address (not hostname) of all pollers in my deployment (Primary Poller and several additional polling engines).
As per the following article I understand I can simply change IP address of the server and then run the config wizard.
https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Change-the-IP-address-of-the-main-Orion-server-or-additional-polling-engine?language=en_US
Can anyone confirm if I need to run the config wiz on every poller?
If so, I assume I will need to change the IP address on the primary poller first and then run the config wiz on this server.
Following this, I assume I can I then re-ip all the additional pollers and run the config on each of these??
Do I then need to run config wiz on each poller? If so, does anyone know if I can do this simultaneously?
Also, the following article has a slightly different approach by suggesting that I should be updating the DB manually:
https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Change-the-IP-address-of-a-poller?language=en_US
If so, in order to simplify the process do you think I'd be able to simply..
Re-IP Primary Poller and Additional Pollers.
Update Engines Table in DB with new IPs.
Only run Config Wizard on Primary Poller.
Job Done?
Can anyone help provide some clarification on the steps for re-ip'ing all servers in my deployment?
Thanks.
