Office/Microsoft 365 Monitoring

Hopefully not a stupid question, but we already have NPM/SAM licenses and want to know if there's anything else we need to start monitoring our M365 tenancy? I know SAM is a requirement, but it's not clear if M365 monitoring requires additional licenses/modules or not.
