Change the color of down status for only one node versus global change

I would like to use "specified wireless icon" on Orion maps to status an interface. When I select the shape as rectangle, it show the current status of the node. The current status of the node is down. So, it shows red color rectangle box around the wiresless icon. I would like to change that red color to a different color (for example gray) for just this interface. Is it possible with the Orion maps?

Firstly, I don't know if you can change the color for a 'single entity's status' within Orion Maps. I normally defer to @jblankjblank for all my Orion Map questions.

That being said: what if you chance the interface to be "Unplugged" instead of "Down?" If the map colors are inherited from other parts of the Orion system, then that different color should be used.

This won't get you to a custom color, but it should get you to a different color if you set the 'other' status to use something else.

I would echo @KMSigma.SWI here. The ellipse, rectangle, and hexagon are all set to have that status ring change to accommodate... of course status. You can change that color but it will set that as the static color around that icon. However, I think you have multiple options leveraging similar features as Kevin outlined above, but I am wondering if you can clarify something.

Are you trying to change the way in which the Node status is represented, when this one interface has an issue vs any other interface or other child entity?

If you could share screenshots @shahumang18, that would also be helpful.

Hi,

My main goal to achieve is as follows:

I would like to change the color of the status of a node (polling through SNMP) after 10 of "DOWN" state to "Yellow" and after 60 minutes of "DOWN" state to "GRAY". I have tried many different things like creating an alert, creating another Orion map with one node and two interfaces as child and then drop this map on to main map, but none of them seems to be working for me.

Here is the example: Suppose, I have a node with two interfaces. Only one interface is going to be in "UP" state at a time. Meaning, one interface will be UP and another interface will be DOWN at any given time. At that time, I want the status of the node to be GREEN or UP. Now, when both the interfaces are DOWN for, let's say, 10 minutes, I want the node status to be YELLOW color. When both the interfaces are DOWN for 60 minutes, I want the node status to be GRAY color.

I have tried to change the status icon color through the "dropdown" options available on the Orion maps but then when I use the "Shape" it shows the actual status color instead of the picked one. For example: When I chose GRAY icon used for unreachable for the DOWN state, and then when I used the Rectangle Shape option, the node was displayed with a rectangle box around it and the actual "RED" color instead of "GRAY". That is an issue for me.

Another thing I would like to know is how to display a node with DOWN "Red" color when it's all interfaces are going to DOWN. I have chosen status rollup mode as mixed.
