Issues with Log Parser Linux

We are trying to use the log parser template on our linux machines, basically we are trying to read the files for ORA errors. We opened the log and saw that there are ORA errors present in the file. We enabled the application monitor and pass all the necessary arguments, when we tested it was testing successfully without showing the error outputs which are present in the log file. We saw error occur even after we applied the template, but the template didnt discover the error on changed any status of the component monitor.

We are basically stuck on this vital part of monitoring.

I just got it working, turns out whenever we are adding a linux script monitor we should edit the script and test the component first.

For the resolution of the issue we performed 2 critical steps.

1. the Service account which we were using was having root privileges but we needed to include "dzdo" command in the command line execution of the script.

2. I had to add many script monitor for a single node, because we are monitoring multiple files on a single node, so i was just filling all the required information in the component monitor and saving it directly turns out solarwinds does not like that and it does not initialize the script and it does not run it. So for that specific reason i had to edit every single component monitor and then click on edit script the set the test node and the credentials and click on test and then save it.

after that the component monitor started working as expected.
