Note sure if this question should be in NCM or NPM...
We recently ran into an issue where we have an IPSEC VPN Tunnel interface on a Cisco ISR router and users were not able to reach the resources through the tunnel.
The tunnel interfaces were "up" on both side and the Internal/external interfaces were also "up" on both routers.
We had to reboot the ISR router on the resource side in order to resolve the issue.
I want to know if there is a better way to monitor the "status" of the VPN Tunnel...traffic not flowing across the tunnel?
I have since added the ISR router into SolarWinds syslog at level 7 for debugging purposes so that we can go through the logs if we need to reboot the router again.
any ideas suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
