I'm Craig Norborg, a Network Engineer. I currently work at Los Alamos National Labs. Most recently I've been working on our new SolarWinds implementation and a VPN solution that extends our MPLS network out to several remote sites.
I've been a member of THWACK since 6/3/2003, which sounds about right since I had just started a job at another company at that time (Bosch). I am a THWACK MVP and I have been an SCP since the program started as well
I have attended THWACKcamp, unsure how many times!! Last year, I had the pleasure of attending THWACKcamp in person at the SolarWinds Headquarters along with dozens of other THWACK MVPs.
Attending THWACKcamp is person was one of my favorite memories. Getting to meet the celebrities (aka: Dez, Patrick, Leon and Tom!), not to mention the other MVP's. Great times both during the online sessions and afterwards!!!
This year, I'm looking forward to the "Optimizing Orion", "Thinking Out of The Box", and the "What the US Government Can Teach You About Securing SolarWinds" sessions. Although there are definitely others that peak my interest, you can see the full 2-day schedule here. I'm always interested in optimizing Orion and getting it to work better and faster, so any hints in this direction are always great. I've been told I'm good at thinking out of the box, so getting hints on possibly how to do it even better would be good! The "US Government" one just caught my eye, esp. in my job.
I don't think any of the sessions pertain to what I'm specifically trying to implement right now, which mostly deals with UDT and tracking IP Phones, but they might assist in doing this, or other things, better or make them work quicker.
