Most topics on SQL CLR in THWACK are from very old versions of Orion and I just wanted some clarity around specifically what it does and improves in the latest version and what are the consequences of having it disabled in 2021.
Mostly from old THWACK posts I see things that it just improves performance but I also saw this lone comment from 12 years ago:
"CLR is also used by the config wizard to setup a couple of database maintenance scripts for wireless, energywise, and Netflow's CBQoS. If these scripts are not correctly generated and you use any of these features, then your database tables will grow very large very quickly."
I just want to know if the above still applies in today's version and if there is anything else to consider?
