upgrade to 2020.2.5 - Issues with Console

Hello,

I have tried upgrading from 2020.2.4 to 2020.2.5 with the NPM offline installer, HA setup.

Faced few issues while running installer and configuration wizard. 

Error when installer first attempt:

Failed: Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Installers\SolarWinds.Administration.ProductCatalog.Model.ProductCatalogModel_installed.json' is denied.  (I am part of Administrator)

Error when configuration wizard:

Verifying that the SWIS container storage is available FAILED

Services configuration failed:
• Connection to SolarWinds® Information Service did not succeed.
Last error: RunQuery failed, check fault information.
EntityTypeResolver is not initialized

But in the second attempt everything went fine. 

All the service started, the console came up with no menu bar and 'backend services not started properly'

I have tried restarting services, servers, rebuilding website and running configuration wizard. but no luck

We dialed in tech support and they couldn't fix it. He also tried upgrading the MPE secondary server and try to make it Active, but same console issue was there. 

Finally rolled back to previous version. 

Any help is appreciated..

Hi What OS are you using ?

Have you backed up your database, I had. similar issue, so I just installed a new Clean 2019 server, re-installed Solarwinds and reconnected it my existing database, which worked fine. 

I backed up and copied the SQL backups to safe location first, then totally wiped the box.

Re-installed SQL 2019 (which seems to run a lot quicker)

This was quicker than messing around with support and trying to resolve the issue, took me an afternoon.
