Monitoring Cisco ACI in NPM

Does anyone successfully monitor ACI Leafs and APIC's in Solarwinds? I am running NPM 2020.2.4 with ACI 4.0.x.

I use SNMPv3 and the APIC rest API for monitoring.

We had an older version of Solarwinds where we were able to monitor the leafs and every physical interface but something happened at one point where I can no longer see physical interfaces if I select "list resources". The majority of my leafs I am able to monitor the interfaces but when I press list resources they are no longer there, it only shows virtual interfaces.

My second issue is with the APIC monitoring is the topology mapping, it does not list everything it should that shows under members, it only lists hardware modules. At one point this worked as well..

We've got a good amount of documentation for our Cisco ACI monitoring capabilities here.

Did anything change in your environment in regards to firmware versions, or did the change happen after upgrading NPM?

Have you opened a support case? If not, suggest you do that first. Also, if you let me know the case number and I'll take a closer look. If there's a bug in our ACI support, we'd love to know about it!

Thanks for the reply Jason. Yes I reviewed that documentation once we upgraded to a version of SolarWinds that supported the rest api.

I have not opened a case with SolarWinds support as I generally do not have much luck with cases when it comes to devices having issues with SNMP as it generally becomes a finger pointing game between vendors. I usually have better luck in the community so I figured I would start here first before I went down the support route.

the only thing that has changed in our environment is upgrading to the latest version of SolarWinds from an old version we ran that didn’t support the rest api polling of Apic. The only other change would be going from version 3.x.x of aci to 4.0.x a year ago.

I ended up opening a case on March 31st since I never heard from anyone else on the forums. The case still has not been picked up.

did you ever get anything resolved with this? We are in the process of deploying ACI, and while I have my spines, leaves and apic's in Orion NPM, i am not sure i am seeing what I should. Since we have not completed the deployment yet, I am hesitant to fire off a ticket - but did want to see what the community has done with it.
