I have a situation where the network team like to leave unsed vPC's configured on nexus devices in case they need to reuse. This is resulting in alerts staying active for a long time.
There are a high number of nexus devices with the same numbered vPC being configured. for exaple
node1 - vPC ports 1 - 52 configured. Numbers 45 - 52 now unused
node2 - vPC ports 1 - 52 configured. Numbers 25 - 30 now unused
I have looked at excluding certain vPC's from the alert within the trigger alert. But I cannot use just the vPC numbers as this will exclude across all nodes. Virtual Port Channel fields available do not include parent node or relating object. So i cannot create a relationship.
I'm going to see if it possible via excluding a group, but wondered if someone has already tackled this.
