Any way to change interface statistics collection through alert?

Hello everybody,

I have a custom property on my interfaces that defines the level on each interface, in different projects we need to change the time for statistics collection but at the weekend we need them to roll back to their pre-defined values (e.g. 1 minute for level 0 and 9 minutes for others), I can define the condition as below

but in the trigger actions, I can't find any way to change the interface statistics collection.

Is there any way to do it through SolarWinds alerting?

I can't think of a way with trigger actions, but your use case is a perfect example for "Time of Day" functionality on the alert.

1. Create 2 alerts - One for Weekday and One for Weekend

2. Set trigger actions as required for Weekday on the first alert and use the below "Time of Day"

3. Set trigger actions as required for Weekend Alert on the second alert and use the below "Time of Day"

That could be done with a powershell script using SWIS and a Set-SwisObject command. I do something similar sort-of but only if an interface is critical.

I’ll try to provide an example later today should I find the time.
