How to use component variables with application-base alerts?

Hi. I want to use components variables in my Application-based alerts - is it possible?

So, I have an application-based alert:

And I'd like to fill email body with some statistic and message data gathered from the component (like StatisticData or ComponentMessage).

So there are 2 ways to alert on applications and there some out of the box alerts for both. When viewing the Trigger Condition there is 'I want to alert on:'

Application
Component

The easier way to do it is to switch it to Component and then you should be able to use Component Variables in the alert.

The screenshot you have shows Application, and TBH, it'll require some SQL/SWQL knowledge if you continue down that path.

Yep, you are right, component-based alerts would let me use component variables, that's clear.
But I'd like to use components variables with Application-based alerts. This would be very handy in some cases.
