Disable Hardware sensor Events while Continuing to monitor?

Question

I would like to disable the events that are created to do with hardware sensors. Our events list is flooded with an event for each and every interface etc when a node come online and goes offline. I would still like Solarwinds to monitor the status of sensors but do not wish to have the events created. Can this be achieved? I have all alerts and actions relating to the hardware sensors switched off buit the events still persist.

I've set Record to 0 on the Event type in the database. seems to have done the trick. not sure how or if its possible to toggle this value through the web UI?
