How to shorten a volume name?

For some nodes we gather volume data.
But names (and descriptions) of these volumes contains extra data we don't need. For example, label and serial number:

And it looks very ugly in the alert body:

Is there any way to shorten it or change a pattern which SWS use to generate volume names? I'd like to see something like this:

Volume Description: \

Manual editing every volume or bunch db editing are not options.

From what i understand, i don't think you have an option at the moment to do that.

Lets wait and watch if someone else has done something like this without any extra effort using the default features.
