Adding performance monitor to a custom view

The instructions claim that you can simply add a widget to a custom view. However, I have been trying fruitlessly for several hours to add performance monitor to a new view. I cannot even find performance monitor in the list of objects. Oddly enough, I can use the performance monitor from my home screen.

If anyone knows how to resolve this, please point me in the right direction. Thank you.

I just dug into the release notes - the ability to add Perfstack to dashboards came in version 2018.2. So with the version you're on you have Perfstack, but not the ability to add it to dashboards.

The best thing you can do is reference the Upgrade Advisor. Put in the versions of all the things you have and say what you'd like to move towards (2020.2.1) and it'll give you a step-by-step plan on doing your upgrade.

I am trying to find the video where @KMSigma.SWI and I show this, but the late hour and lack of coffee are confounding that effort.

In any case, you have to create and name the perfstack first, and then you add it by looking for the NAME of the perfstack. I know it makes a certain kind of intuitive sense to look for a widget type called "Perfstack" or "Performance Monitor" to add, and then pick the name of which perfstack you want from there, but that's not how it works in this particular case.

I've done the search by clicking add widgets, and there is nothing there. I've even tried renaming the file to a single word in case it was failing due to the name having white spaces in it, and that didn't work as well.

I found the video you're referring to and it doesn't work.. I wonder if it is an issue with the version I am using. Currently, the bottom of my screen says Orion Platform 2017.3.3 NPM12.2 etc. Would that be the reason? If so, what version would we need to upgrade to that isn't vulnerable to Sunburst?

Any version recommended must be stable, and secure. This is for a production environment, so we're trying to avoid any bugs, or major security breaches. As such, is what I'm trying to do possible with 12.2?
