I installed the 2019.4 HF6 to remove the recent hack vulnerability, and after successfully installing HF6 the CfgWz. failed on several attempts at around 8.5% completion. I rebooted my IIS server and it failed again during the DB update. I was able to get another clean reboot of the IIS and the CfgWz completed successfully. However, when I logged onto the console the home page had these two error messages: (1) Menu Failure; We are having difficulty communicating with the Orion Server. Some of the backend services are not working properly. (2) You currently cannot connect to the main NCM server xxxxxxx either because the server is not yet upgraded to version 2019.4 or there is a problem on your network. In my troubleshooting attempt, I found an Error in the NPM Business Layer Logs "ApiProxy<ICoreBusinessLayer, ServiceDirectoryQuery> All #3 retries from a pool 'RootPool' failed due to a transient error detected". I found an article on how to run a repair on SolarWinds Orion Core services that suggested running appwiz.cpl to repair the problem. The repair ran successfully, but I had to manually stop all the Orion Services before I could successfully run the CfgWiz because the failure message stated that the database was being used by a different process. I successfully ran the CfgWz and my Solarwinds is working normally again with the security vulnerability eliminated due to 2019.4 HF6.
