SAM : Template showing status "UNKNOWN"

Hi SolarWinds community,

I have a small question. There is this template Active Directory 2016 Services and Counters. A number of components were Down so disabled those services as I was told but now the template is "UNKNOWN" ?

I could really use some help here.

Hi Neha,

Can you check if its getting monitored by WMI method and using correct credentials for the template?

If yes, then try to test the template. It should show "Successful" in result.

The device in question is a windows server with agent polling. When the template was down the error was "This service is either disabled or stopped or not installed on the server. There we re a number of services with these error namely :

DFS
DNS
DFS REPLICATION
INTERSITE MESSAGING
KERBEROS KEY DISTRIBUTION
In addition to these a number of others performance counters not found error.

As I have disabled the services, appliacation is unknown.
