SAM Poller for duplicate environments using the same IP Address and Hostnames

Hello, I would like to be able to manage two environments on separate networks from a single Orion server, both environments have Windows and Unix servers with the same hostnames and IP Addresses.

I have already setup a single poller (on the Orion server) and discovered everything I need on that first environment, however due to the duplication I don't want to open up this second network for discovery. I know this can be done via natting, but I've also heard that deploying a unique SAM poller within the second environment and installing agents in place of discovery can also be done.

Is my understand and assumption of this SAM poller correct?

I THINK that if you use an extra polling engine like the Orion Remote Collector AND Agents on all monitored nodes in the second environment it should work.

Haven't done it but I believe it should work.

You don't really even need to do all the agents stuff if you don't want to. Each APE would be using their local routing and dns resolution, you would just need to turn on the settings to allow duplicate nodes and it may get pretty confusing in your manage nodes screen, but it'll work.
