We are looking for a better server/app monitoring software and was considering Solarwinds. There seems to be a nasty connotation on this forum regarding SW.. So, I am asking why is it disliked? If you have used it, what are your experiences? Is it as good as websites mark it up as, or is that paid advertising from the company?
I love it, but it's going to depend a lot on what you want it to monitor, what other products you want it to integrate with, such as your helpdesk software, etc.
