How to Add an Agentless Node without the Flash Console

How does one add an agentless/syslog node into SEM without a Flash Console? The documentation states to use the legacy flash console, but that is now disabled due to flash EOL.

Curious if anyone has a solution to this issue?

For context this is a virtual Linux appliance used for building security access.

Hello,

To add agentless/syslog node go to Nodes->Manager Connectors, there you need to find the right connector for your device and add it, there you just have to set which syslog facility are the logs being sent to.

First, you must determine the Syslog format aka brand what ID if using from your source.

Goto To Nodes >> Manage Connectors

Look for the brand-specific connector this is the hard part because some might have more than one the seem correct.

Next, you must determine which local you have set to from the source.

You have the choice from 0-7 for the local number.

If you are unsure which local number I quick way is to install kiwi Syslog on a local computer and direct source to the computer to see the format and local of the Syslog format.

I have over 10 different Syslog format going into my SEM with 2020.4 and 6 of them were added with the HTML5 interface with little issue.
