Solarwinds and VMware interaction

Hi all,
As part of our SolarWinds monitor implementation in our company.
We've been told that VMware is monitored by the VMware monitoring system and not by SolarWinds.

How does VMware monitoring in SW works?
Is it possible to make changes on SW side?

You can use Orion's NPM and SAM modules to get some basic monitoring of your VMware environment, but the best way to monitor is by using the VMAN module. FMI: Virtualization Manager (VMAN) Knowledge Base | SolarWinds Success Center
