DHCP DNS permissions

Hello,We need to give Microsoft DHCP and DNS permissions to be able to handle these services from IPAM,both reading and executing any action. Are the DHCP and DNS administrator permissions sufficient withouthave to give IPAM permission in Active Directory?Thanks a lot.

The IPAM Administrators' Guide explains what you need for DHCP management permissions. I believe a domain-based account will work, as long as it has been added to the appropriate security groups. The account specified in the credential must exist on the DHCP server and be a member of one of the three following groups:

• DHCP Users
• DHCP Administrators
• Local Administrators

Configuring the WMI permissions required to manage a DNS server are a little more involved, so here are links (part of the same documentation). 

• Add a DNS server (solarwinds.com)
• DNS server WMI permissions (solarwinds.com)

Note: You should not have to use a domain admin account for these tasks.
