I was happy to see the new metrics for MS SQL Server database backups announced in release 2021.1

How is the behaviour of the metrics if the database is part of a AlwaysOn availability group?
E.g.
- Two node cluster
- Both nodes are registered in DPA because there are multiple availability groups
- The backup is running on the secondary node/replica
From my understanding an alert would be triggered when running against the first node/replica cause the backup is done on the secondary node/replica.
If this is correct is there a workable remedy?
