Disable topology 'Auto-Connections' on Orion Maps

Hi all,

Wondering if it is possible to disable topology auto connections with the new Orion maps? I have a wireless L2 bridge between two switches and want the map to reflect this configuration, however the auto connection just assumes switch to switch. I manually mapped the two APs and switches however the switch to switch connection will not disappear.

I have tried disabling topology L2 & L3 within list resources but still keeps auto populating undesirably.

Switch -> AP -> AP -> Switch

Click anywhere on the white portion of the screen, click the Connections drop-down arrow and uncheck the Topology check-box

Sorry I do not want to get rid of all topology paths, just ones that are automatically created.

It is not possible to selectively disable certain topology connections at this time. It is all or nothing. The ability to hide specific connections would be a feature request.

Yeah. Can we please have this feature in the next release. In my topology (especially with many different MPLS L2 circuits in the network), trying to set up meaningful connections is virtually impossible as it keeps adding erroneously assumed connections all over the place. I'm sure this is something you can easily implement. THanks

Have they gotten anywhere with this ? The maps are useless in our environment unless they can either discover all the connections, or allow us to delete those that we don't want in the map. For us, this isn't a feature yet until it can do this.

This was also an issue for us, random connections appearing where and when we didn't want them.

In our situation we disabled the cdp on all of the cisco switches and just created manual connections in our maps instead.

Gets us round the issue in the meantime and keeps our maps a lot neater
