Alert on Interface Status

Evening all. 

Trying to create an alert that monitors a particular port and alerts me to to either Up or Down as the trigger condition however i am having issues with the reset conditions.

I have no issues with the port being used however would like 1 email to be sent when the status of the port changes to either up or down and have the action reset and email me once again when one of the triggers is met again. 

The only way i have managed to achieve this so far is to have the reset condition set to no reset action - which means i have to manually clear the alert. With all the other other options i wold be spammed with email every time the port was polled. 

Is there anyway to achieve this ?

Still having issues with multiple alert emails being sent every time NPM polls the port. 
Is there anyway to set the email to only send once until the condition changes? 

For instance in my trigger condition i have a all child conditions must be satisfied (and) pointing to the interface port.

The actual trigger condition is set to at least one child condition must be satisfied ( OR) , and then have 2 lines for interface status is equal to up or interface status is equal to down. 

I want one email to be sent if someone plugs something in. Doesn't matter how long the device is plugged in. I then want it to reset when the device in unplugged and send a second email stating the device is no longer plugged in, and only reset again if a device in plugged in again.

I would like to set this up as an automated reset so that i dont have to acknowledge or take any form of action for the reset to occur etc. 

However most of the automation reset condition use the emails to keep sending when ever the port is polled. 

Is there a better way to get this to work?
