directlink account issues

Question

We use single sign-on (in a Windows environment) to log-in to SolarWinds on Google Chrome. There are occasions when SolarWinds appears to log us in as the directlink account losing correct permissions. The only way to resolve this is to close the browser session and start again. Is there any way to resolve this issue? I'm assuming the directlink account cannot be disabled?

If needed, DirectLink can be deleted through Account Management. It may be worth disabling the account to validate the behavior. If it is a feature you need to use and it is not behaving as expected I would open a support ticket.

Your assumption is incorrect, directlink is kind of a specific use case for providing access to people so they don't have to pass in creds, which is pretty much in conflict with the idea of SSO automatically passing in creds.  Any time I have seen people try to use both features at once it becomes a headache.  Pretty much need to pick one or the other. and if you don't want to use directlink just disable the account.
