I have a few questions regarding setting up a multi office solarwinds as a centralized service. I'm installing the Orion platform in AWS is a proof of concept, eventually the goal is to have around 10 to 15 offices under one centralized solarwinds account. so far I've set up otka aggregation and created custom properties for each office, And I've created some restrictions per okta group like if you're from one office you can only see devices with that office tag. Ideally the goal being that office members can manage their own solarwinds equipment and office IT staff could be able to view but maybe not edit things.
And I've added two offices for a proof-of-concept. but now I'm wondering how I can use that sort of information in alerting the logic, like can I create one rule/alert that says if disk space gets under 5% free send email alert, and then have it send to the correct team / office using the custom properties.
Also wonder about scaling out so large and what the best way to not cause the server to act slow since each office has their own smallish Data Center. I have a current running on a pretty beefy AWS instance but I know I could move the database to its own RDS and I can also have agents in each Studio maybe polling that then report up to the main server.
currently looking to use NPM NCM Ipam
Thanks!
