The Solarwinds Orion API does not cost anything extra and don't add anything to the licenses.

nope, as seashore has mentioned, you do not need to pay a dime. btw, i believe it's written somewhere along with the SolarWinds docs. so, just like most of us, the one thing you pay for is the external tool or whatever you use.
