Config fails when trying to update to 2020.2.1

Hi all,

First of all I'm new to the Thwack community and relatively new to SolarWinds so I apologise if this isn't in the correct place. I'm trying to upgrade my environment to 2020.2.1 but the config keeps failing with the following can anyone help?

Updating packaging system for database FAILED

Database configuration failed:

• Exception while configuring plugin Orion Core Services component Orion Database. Column names in each table must be unique. Column name 'FeatureName' in table 'dbo.AssetInventory_PollingDescription' is specified more than once.

Services configuration failed:

• Error while configuring component Orion.RunDatabasePackaging.

High availability pool is disabled.

Hello,

I believe we may have a solution that requires some SQL changes. Rather than try troubleshoot this here, it may be more efficient If you could open a support case for this through your customer portal or from here https://customerportal.solarwinds.com/support/submit-a-ticket/

Please share the case number with me when available.

We are seeing something similar but it is on a different table and different column. What was the fix to this?

This is our error:

Updating packaging system for database FAILED Database configuration failed: • Exception while configuring plugin Orion Core Services component Orion Database. Column names in each table must be unique. Column name 'Width' in table 'dbo.SEUM_Recordings' is specified more than once.

We are on the phone with support and hoping they can view your resolution.
