How to display UPS Battery Temperature in Fahrenheit instead of Centigrade?

I have a nice Widget in NPM that displays APC UPS Battery Temperatures in Centigrade.

My team wants to see the temperatures in Fahrenheit instead of Centigrade. I haven't found how to make that change for them by searching Thwack. Can you help me do it?

@rschroederSure i can try and show you how i did it earlier, however please note that i am on version 2019.4 and not the latest 2020.2

First of all i will assume (probably wrongly) that you may already have a UDP to discover the Battery Temperature.

Open up the UDP application on the main poller and you should get a screen like below

As you can see we already have one setup, now from the top of the screen, select the option to 'Transform Results' and the wizard will display the screen below - just select next here.

On the next screen define the transformation that you wish to create and fill in the details like below and click next

On the next page first select the dropdown to add a function and choose Temperature > Celcuis to Farenheit

Now from the same screen select the add poller drop down and select the poller results you wish to transform, in our case its the upsBatteryTemperature, then select a device to test this on, you should see something like the below at this point

Click next once you are happy with the transformation results to go to the next screen, where you can apply this transform to the required nodes like below and then select the option to test these so you can see the results.

Once happy click on next again to get to the last page where you have the option for this to also appear on the device details page of the nodes if you want to.

Once all of the above has been done and on the next device poll, the database should get updated with the new values that have been transformed.

Then what you need to do is update your datasource to pull the correct information from the database, we use the following below in our instance, however these value will differ from yours.

select nodes.caption as 'UPS Device' , CustomPollerAssignmentView.CurrentValue as 'Battery Temperature'
from CustomPollerAssignmentView
inner join nodes on (CustomPollerAssignmentView.NodeID = nodes.NodeID)
where CustomPollerID = '4AE925C8-AC16-471B-BC1C-59C38599A6DC'

Vaildate the query to show the results and then make the other custom changes as required to add the 'F' onto the values.

At the moment we used a UDP to poll the UID that reports the value in celcius, we then transform that result to convert this to Fahrenheit and then display that on the device page.

Something like this, we dont use a widget like you, but this is how we would do it.
