Working with alerts and reporting. Wanting to include alert scope in some kind of report.
I see we have reports for configured alerts (I am interested in configured alerts, not active alerts for now).
However, I can't find a way to configure alert scope in my report.
I can find alert scope in the GUI alert definition. I see a variety of tables and views in the database. But I don't see anywhere that alert scope is defined.
Desired end state: define server roles with a custom property, like: ServerRole - Domain Controller, Exchange Server, Database Server, etc.
Scope alerts to server role as described above.
Then... produce a report that lists ServerRole with all of the alerts that apply to that role. Everything that applies to Domain Controller, Exchange Server, Database Server, etc.
But... I need to be able to filter on alert scope to produce this output.
