Run sql stored procedure in alert action.

Question

Dear All,

We want some calculation process with sql queries and we will use in mail alert or snmp traps. So we coded stored procedure, that sp returns what we want when run in the ssms. But i cant call "exec" command in the Alerts > "Insert Variable" area.

If we do calculate with select command, its not will be usable and editable. We have to define in one function and call it every time when we need.

So, please give us to some guidance.

I then used a function instead of an SP. Don't remember why but I guess I also had issues with the EXEC SP. Would that work for you?
