Hi
Is there any way to get exceeded thresholds UnDP based nodes, to change the status of the node? i.e. to yellow or red.
Like in the screenshot below, threshold is 25, polled value is 27 .. but still green.
We have tried setting it up via an alert, but it doesn't seem to work.
Are we doing it wrong?
We're still working on getting this right.
I just stumbled upon this article, and as I understand it, we won't be able to set the node status via an Alert either, because we are alerting on Custom Node Poller not Node.
Is that correct?

I want to be able to do the exact same thing but running in to the exact same problem. I'm on latest current version NPM 2020.2. We have Eaton UPSes also and want a Node Status change when the temperature goes beyond the threshold. We want to see a yellow or red node on the dashboard then be able to drill in to the details to determine the problem. Network Atlas seems like an overly complicated way to display custom pollers??
I'm coming for IPmonitor which was incredibly straight forward to do: add OID monitor and you're done. If monitor turns red, node turns red on your dashboard.
So how is it that with NPM, I have to create new poller, add new Universal device poller, set a custom threshold poller, add an alert, create map and still not have the ability to show the node as red? Am I missing something obvious?
You can do this with the enhanced node status however you may need to modify the default setting where Custom Node Pollers don't affect the node status.
