Feature request support for Cisco Firepower firewalls - they are seen as WLC controller

We would like default support/recognition for the Cisco Firepower firewalls - the NPM (we run version 12.5 until monday ) see them as Wireless controllers in their default view. But it should be the same problem in the newest version of NPM.

This firewall-series will be the substitute for the old Cisco ASA's - according to Cisco.

There could be some engineering to setting this up in Solarwinds as we customers can choose between running either Cisco ASA software og the newer FirePower firewall software. Weather or not this will influence on the value of the OID's - I am certain that the Solarwinds engineers have a knowledge if this will be the case.

I will deliver a SNMP-walk from a Firepower running ASA software in order to help this issue on the way

But I have Firepowers and these are seen as Machine Type Firepower 2110. I'm on 2019.4

How did you add your firepower devices?

I added these in the same as other devices by just using the IP address and SNMP string.

its really frustrating seeing this response be constantly posted. Ive made feature requests, ive talked to account reps for years about getting proper FTD monitoring on par with ASAs and Ive made feature requests. It just doesnt go anywhere and the sad part is, it should literally be a simple few code corrections to get it working. FTDs run a slightly modified version of ASA code, its actually still called ASA code, yet we cant properly monitor the FTDs like we can the ASAs. Ive had to spent countless hours building undp just to monitor VPN tunnels, which is literally the exact same command to view them as on ASAs! SolarWinds just flips out because of prompt differences.
