Monitor Cloud based Server / Applications from on-premise installation.

As the title suggest are you able to monitor cloud based windows servers / services and applications from an on-premise installation of Solarwinds.

Currently we have an on-premise HA setup configured to monitor our physical and virtual environments and have NPM, MCM, SAM, VMAN, IPAM modules installed on both our Main / APE Solarwinds Servers.

At some point in the possible future (could be sooner than i think) the virtual environment might be ported to a cloud based service.

What i need to know is are there any additional modules that we will be required to purchase for us to still monitor our virtual environment from our existing on-premise installation pr will this not be possible?

Is anyone currently doing this and how difficult / easy was it to configure?

I have briefly read about Cloud Infrastructire Monitor, is this the module that i would need to use?
