NPM alert notification - PARAMETERS

HELP! Is there anyone who can provide me the event details parameter? To receive a message that something critical has occurred and not know what is useless. I need that "what has happened" parameter to be added to my web POST actions.

Can anyone help? We are integrated with xMatters and that is the last bit of information needed.

if you filled out the Alert Message for the alert to contain the desired information then you could use the Alert Message Variable ${N=Alerting;M=AlertMessage}

Ok that implies that the user needs to manually configure each alert that could possibly happen (and there are potentially hundreds) with the desired specifics. Is my understanding correct?

@wywilliams im not sure I understand your request. You have an alert with a POST action that you would like to include details about the alert?

It's a good idea to consider the out of the box alerts as a suggested starting point. It's a lot of work, but worthwhile to create your own alert configurations to produce the results that you want. You can use the 'duplicate and edit' option, but be sure to give it a new name AND watch out for alert actions that get duplicated. For example, you might see something like "Send Email/Page: Application Down" and then "Copy of Send Email/Page: Application Down". Those "Copy of" objects make me angry.

For example, take a look at the widget which contains the “Last 25 Events”. In that widget, there is information such as: Node abc123 has rebooted at Monday, July 20, 2020 10:13AM.

This is what has happened. This is the actual problem. This is the information that we need to capture in or as a parameter that can be added to the “actions” as a parameter and passed via a web POST or any other action.

Can this be done? thanks.
