Hardware Status Undefined

added a F5 big-ip with my snmp string and everything works fine. I even tested via the MIB browser and successfully retrieved snmp info.

when i go to the device summary i see "Hardware Status Undefined" poked around the forum and could not find anything that explains specifically what this means and how to test/resolve it.

fyi. the node details state "Node is Up." with a green dot and the interfaces are correctly displayed,. so I'm pretty sure that snmp is working .

Is the F5 an actual physical appliance or is it one of the VM based deployments? VM's dont have hardware to track, but i have noticed Orion doesn't seem to be automatically sorting them out in the environments where I noticed this. If it is a VM you just have to disable the hardware sensor on those nodes.

Have you seen this KB article and check-in your SNMP walk if these values are showing up correctly?

still knew to this..

i cant find where to disable the hardware sensors. i even tried adding the manage sensors widget with no success.

with other equipment i just go to that widget.
