Enhanced SQL Server Monitoring

We'd like to see additional OOB monitoring of individual database performance as well as database size (database and logs) trending. We'd also like the ability to monitor the SQL jobs for success / failure OOB.

The database size request seems pretty straightforward, but what would you like to see exposed with respected to individual database performance? What specific statistics or counters are you interested in seeing in APM that would help you assess database performance?

Macnugetz - Aside from the database size and job feature requests, how about:

Query performance
Wait state queues
Blocking / blocked queries
Index fragmentation levels
Transaction rate
Memory grants pending
Average lock wait time
Lock timeouts rate
Database allocation size
Database allocation percent
Largest tables
SQL error log
SQL server configuration
