Guys, I don't see anything canned/out-of-the-box for this. Anyone got a good template they can share with me to alert and report on interface discards?
I have these 2 reports available. You could modify them to suit your needs
You could also create a page with one of the Errors & Discards widgets.
As for alerting, I agree with the above suggestion.
There is inbuilt variable availabel to alert for errors and discards but not very good one..
So idea is to alert on interface and value on that variable?
yes u can specify the value
