how to play a sound when alerts triggered on a web site?
I can only hear sound on the server , can I hear sound on a remote web site ,how to realize ?
help!!

Here you go. In IE 6 this works. In our case we wanted to have a sound play when an alert was activated. I made a copy of the AllAerts resource file.

First we created a directory called Sounds under c:\inetpub\solarwinds\netperfmon\sounds.

We placed our sound file in this folder: notify.wav

Then we modified:

C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds\NetPerfMon\Resources\1-3-Alerts\51-AllAlerts.Resource

Called the copy of the file 52-AllAlerts.Resource.

Here is the contents of the file. Note the <bgsound> tag. I also modified the SQL statement since we do not want alerts displayed with sound for Unmanaged nodes.
