Change SNMP to ICMP

We are changing all our Cisco APs to use LWAPP. LWAPP does not allow SNMP monitoring. I know I can delete the device and re-add as a ICMP node, but we have 150 APs and I need to know if there is an easier way.

So couple things here. I am assuming here you are running 9.5. If you add a controller to NPM, we detect and gather the thin ap's and client details as you are correct, the thin AP's are SNMP only. I assume you are not wanting to loose that history for the old autonomous AP's correct?
