Hello all once again, posting within a week from my last question
I've tackled the issue of how to get running all configs from network devices onto SolarWinds. I've created a new config type in the NCM, used the same device template that our engineers use to pull the standard running configs for all of our devices and added a line with the running all command. Then I've created a job that issues the running all config to all of our Cisco devices. Sounds like I should see running all for every device, right?
The problem I am now facing is when the job runs its course, there will be several devices that fail to download the config. As far as I can see, there are no errors reported by the job report under the "History" column. So I run the compliance report in the NCM to see if any of the rules I'm concerned about have an alert under them. Under the ones that do, I click on the icon of the alert, then I see that I can click "View Config" to look at configuration downloaded from SolarWinds. To my surprise, some of the devices have this message:
Show ${Running All}
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
I'm not sure what I've done wrong between that point and now, but the majority of devices this job is running on, it works. Am I missing something??
