stop monitoring virtual memory

Question

Can anyone suggest an easy way to stop monitoring virtual memory?  We are up against the volume license limit and we have found minimal value in vm metrics.

We have thousands of nodes and about 20 discoveries (that are set to include virtual memory).  Modifying the discoveries manually is manageable, but editing all the nodes could be problematic.

I'm sure it can be done at the DB level, just not confident I can identify all the tables so I get them all -and possibly in the right order.

Fortunately there is just a single table with all of the volumes on it.
For a quick and dirty solution I'd start with select * from volumes where volumetype like 'virtual%' and see if that list looks believable, once you get your where conditions sorted you to make sure it only includes the volumes you need to get rid of then just delete from volumes where <your conditions>. I think removing virtual memory was actually one of the first things I ever delete from the DB years back.

I don't do SQL, I have powershell that cleans it up for me. People always add these back in, so I have scheduled tasks to keep it clean.

First install the SDK: https://github.com/solarwinds/OrionSDK
