NetPath Hops Listed with IP Addresses

Firstly, I'm not a networking guy so go easy on me! I wish to use NetPath services to track the network path from the Orion Server to some Windows targets. I use port 3389 as the target and it maps out the path. On some paths though is shows a router hop with an IP address whilst on others it shows all routers with their managed node name. So I use the option to manage the router only to discover that router is being polled on another IP hence I can't add it again.

So how to make the router show up with it's name as opposed to IP address on the NetPath map?

I’d check that you’re monitoring all the appropriate interfaces (ingress and egress) of those routers and also layer 2 / layer 3 topology data. NetPath depends on a lot of this to accrue an accurate path through your network infrastructure.

On the routers I select:

All Active Interfaces (we ensure we put ay unused interfaces into administratively down state)
All route tables (L2, L3 and BGP if available)
