Node Details using SDK Python

Hello Guys,

I would like to see if there any way using SDK with python to change the SNMP Node Details?

I have a lot of Arista Devices and Also Palo Alto, so the Normal Node Details dont pool all the rigth information that we need

With those ones i could pool the information that we need but we have to do it manually, so i want to add it to my script when we add any device or update

I don't have a script handy, but I have done it before. To suggest some pointers you will be looking at orion.technologypollingassignments in SWIS and there are some verbs there for enabling assignments that should get you there.

Hey I could find the verb, however i am getting this error

Exception has occurred: HTTPError

400 Client Error: Verb Orion.TechnologyPollingAssignments.EnableAssignmentsOnNetObjects cannot unpackage parameter 1 with type System.Int32[] for url: https://eudc-solar02:17778/SolarWinds/InformationService/v3/Json/Invoke/Orion.TechnologyPollingAssignments/EnableAssignmentsOnNetObjects

Dont know why, can you guide me on this?

Hello Guys,

I just played with the verbs, and I am unable to assing one Orion.DeviceStudio to a new device, i have to go to resource list and select it manually and after that i can use the verbs on the device

Any help I will appreciate a lot

So parameter 0 would be the name of the poller your want to assign and param1 is an array of int32 netobjectID's, so for a node it would be a nodeid. A common problem people run into with the powershell module is if you pass an array with only a single value then it ends up changing it from an array to a the singular form.
