I need to monitor and plot 2 interfaces on a Router, Primary and backup links and report when one is down

As far as the Atlas goes, is the best way to plot it is have two icons for the one router but each have the IP of the interface it represents? This router then feeds to a core switch.

If there is a better cleaner way to do it that would be great.

Even though both interfaces are up, is there a way to report which one is in use? (in the event it doesn't fail back to the primary link?)
