UnDP Unversal Alerting - is it possible?

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a solution to be able to alert on UnDPs with a single alert.

One possible solution is use Applications (SAM) instead of UnDP to query OIDs and then rolling them into Critical/Warning, which in turn can be picked up by a single alert. However, when I have UnDPs configured to poll info - I can't seem to find appropriate way to do so.

My goal is to be able to use UnDPs as and when needed without the need to fiddle with alerts, but UnDPs don't have roll-up status into Warning/Critical - so, I am stuck here

Does anyone know any good/efficient way to do so which requires minimum overhead when setting up new monitors? I wonder how do you guys do it?

I see exactly what components should be used, it saves a lot of unnecessary use of hardware resource.

EX: AD monitor, use a component for the protocol, monitor any GPO, and who is ativo.ou time you log.

Use Custom SQL Alert with "Custom Node Table Poller" as your SQL condition.

OK, thanks. Likely I am pretty good at SQL. Would you please help me to understand what do I use in WHERE clause so that I can have one Alert for all needs?

For example there is no such thing as "WHERE UnDP.Status = 'Critical'" - so, what do I do?

[UPDATE]: No, this is not ideal for me as I still will need to modify alert every time I add a new poller to account for new "unique" name of this poller

Great! Thanks! Ok, now how do I do this Universally true for all pollers. They will all have different rate/values as well as different way to compare them against thresholds. I will still need to fiddle with alert every time I create new UnDP
